Kushanth S. Mallikarjun, MD

Diagnostic Radiology Resident

Graduation Year:
2028

My hometown: Moon Township, Pennsylvania
I chose MIR because: I went to WashU for medical school and saw how well-trained and confident the MIR residents were. I really liked the faculty and the learning atmosphere at MIR. I also enjoyed living in St. Louis and could see myself staying nearby for the long-term.
My favorite radiology sign: Face of the Giant Panda sign
My personal interests: Geography, history, classic fantasy literature
My favorite website: Google Flights, Ankiweb
Something most people don’t know about me: We have a DVD collection nearing 300 films; we don’t have any streaming services.
What attracted me to radiology: I was always amazed how much information could be gleaned from an image. It’s cliché, but you really play the role of a detective in radiology, more so than other specialties I was interested in.
My favorite quote: “Inconceivable!”- Vizzini in The Princess Bride
