Gloria J. Guzmán Pérez-Carrillo, MD, is an associate professor of radiology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She is also co-director of the advanced neuroimaging service. Her areas of research interest include multiparametric advanced diffusion imaging techniques for the evaluation of brain and head and neck tumors. In 2020, Guzman was named director of MIR’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Justice, formed with the central mission of ensuring an inclusive environment for faculty, staff, trainees and patients. Guzman completed two fellowships at MIR — in neuroradiology and neuroradiology research. She did her radiology residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown and earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Guzman received a master’s degree in radiology at the Universidad de Granada in Spain, and a bachelor’s degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
