Farrokh Dehdashti, MD, the Drs. Barry A. And Marilyn J. Siegel Professor of Radiology and senior vice chair and division director of nuclear medicine for Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dehdashti is board certified in nuclear medicine also serves as the PET medical director of the Center for Clinical Imaging Research (CCIR). She is the co-leader of Siteman Cancer Center’s Oncologic Imaging Program, which focuses on translational research studies in all fields of imaging.
Involved in PET research for over 30 years, Dehdashti’s research focuses on translational oncologic studies with an emphasis on receptor imaging. She has designed and executed the first-in-human, phase 1 and 2 studies of a variety of novel radiotracers developed at Washington University, such as imaging tumor receptors for breast cancer (estrogen receptor, progesterone receptors and HER2), prostate cancer (androgen receptor), CCR2, receptor of very late antigen-4 as well as radiotracers for imaging hypoxia, proliferation and PARP.
