Integrated Interventional Radiology Resident

Graduation Year:
2028

My hometown: Lubbock, Texas

My teachable medical school moment: Learning is good

I chose MIR because:
I wanted to be at a large, high-volume academic center. I came into the interview season knowing of MIR’s renowned research excellence, faculty expertise, and commitment to education. However, it was the interview that solidified my decision to come here. The personalized approach, where each faculty member demonstrated a genuine interest in my aspirations and potential contributions, greatly impressed me. The opportunity to engage with dedicated mentors and researchers, combined with the program's reputation for excellence in both clinical practice and cutting-edge research, solidified my decision to join MIR for my residency training.

My personal interests: Soccer, piano, Spanish, cacti and doing activities with my family

My favorite go-to meal: Chipotle

I’m excited about living in St. Louis because: The blend of culture, history, food and community spirit. From the dense medical center to the iconic Gateway Arch, the city has a lot to offer, especially if you enjoy playing and watching soccer. Also, my grandparents live here, and I love those guys. The city's warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere have made it feel like home from the moment I arrived.

Something most people don’t know about me: I am a vegetarian and I am allergic to peanuts, tree nuts and shellfish.

Anything else you should know about me: I'm the oldest of five siblings
