Aaron J. Mintz, MD, is an assistant professor of radiology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. An alumnus, Mintz completed a diagnostic radiology residency and a fellowship in body MRI fellowship at MIR. In 2019, he became a faculty member in the abdominal imaging section. Mintz, who also serves as the clinical lead for imaging informatics, collaborates with the computation imaging laboratory on various projects, including the development of a robust infrastructure to support artificial intelligence research. Mintz also works with the senior vice chair for imaging informatics to improve the existing clinical IT infrastructure and position MIR to take advantage of anticipated advances in machine learning in radiology. Prior to attending medical school at Washington University, Mintz worked in healthcare technology and research. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
