Malak Itani, MD, is an associate professor and associate chief of abdominal imaging for WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR). Her clinical interests include contrast-enhanced ultrasound and image-guided procedures. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound, and she was named a fellow of the latter in 2021.

Itani earned her medical degree and completed radiology residency at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. She also completed a nuclear medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin; PET/CT and body imaging fellowships at the University of Washington Medical Center; and an abdominal imaging fellowship at the University of Michigan.
