Assistant Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering

Research Interests
My research is in the design of medical imaging systems and algorithms for optimized performance in clinical tasks using quantitative measures of task performance. A major area of focus is on improving clinical quantitative imaging, with applications such as in improving the reliability of imaging biomarkers for monitoring cancer-treatment response and in improving dosimetry for therapy. Reducing radiation dose for imaging is another area of focus. Research areas:

  • Objective assessment of image quality
  • Image analysis and reconstruction
  • Machine learning for radiology
  • Clinical translation of computational imaging methods
