Research Interests
My research focuses on validation and implementation of novel radioligands for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in the CNS and cardiovascular system. The targets of interest include sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 and 2 (S1P1/2), vesicular acetylcholine transporter (VAChT), phosphodiesterase 10A (PDE10A), P2X7 receptor and sigma 1 receptor, which play key roles in neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer disease and Parkinson disease, neuroinflammatorydiseases such as multiple sclerosis, and cardiovascular diseases including atherosclerosis and vascular injury and remodeling.   • In vitro and in vivo validation of novel S1P1 PET radioligands for neuroinflammation and vascular inflammation
  • Preclinical characterization of novel PDE10A PET radioligands for CNS diseases with striatal pathologies
  • Preclinical and clinical investigation of cholinergic dysfunction in AD and PD using novel VAChT PET radioligands
