Advancing state-of-the-art in radiologic image management and analysis

The Electronic Radiology Laboratory (ERL) was founded to advance the science and technology of imaging informatics. In the past decade the lab shifted its focus from clinical to research informatics to support clinical trials and large-scale open science information repositories.  ERL’s informatics research efforts support a global research community through open source software and open access information in addition to driving the second major research mission of the lab: advanced image science. ERL faculty and staff have ongoing research efforts in advanced image reconstruction and quantitative image analysis with special emphasis on cancer, diabetes and periodontal disease. We collaborate with investigators within Washington University and the School of Medicine, as well as with research groups worldwide.
