Cardiothoracic Imaging

The largest and most experienced cardiothoracic imaging group in the region

The cardiothoracic imaging section interprets more than 125,000 images each year. All examinations are obtained with digital techniques. The section includes seven cardiac imagers and a collaborative partnership with the School of Medicine Division of Cardiology.  In addition to providing innovative diagnostic procedures, ongoing research conducted at Mallinckrodt Institute is helping bring advanced diagnostic equipment into the operating room to give referring surgeons clearer, real-time images of the heart and vascular structures entrusted to their care.
