The abdominal imaging section provides diagnostic imaging of the gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems. Using disease-specific protocols we developed, we minimize patient radiation exposure and optimize image information for the most appropriate approach to treatment and better clinical outcomes. Complex cases are discussed at our interdisciplinary conferences. Our services include:
- MRI (includes wide-bore models) and can accommodate up to 550 lbs
- Body CT (can accommodate large patients, up to 650 lbs.)
- Multi row detector scanners
- Multi-slice scanners
All studies and images are stored digitally on PACS workstations. Most percutaneous, fine needle biopsies are performed with CT or ultrasound guidance. Patient reports are completed within a few hours and are immediately forwarded to the patient’s electronic medical file for your review.
