Amir Iravani, MD, has joined Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as an assistant professor of radiology in the division of nuclear medicine.

Manu S. Goyal, MD, an assistant professor of radiology at MIR, spoke with NPR about recently published research that found females had a younger brain age than males. Female brain scans on average appeared about four years younger, according to Goyal and a team of MIR researchers. The team used PET imaging to study the brain scans of more than 200 people.
