Barnes-Jewish St. Peter’s Hospital

Description

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital serves St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. It makes a difference where you have your imaging test and who reads the results – we understand how important clear images and accurate interpretation of results are to your health care. Your tests are performed using world-class imaging equipment, and are interpreted by board-certified radiologists from the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine. All services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for inpatients and emergency care. Weekend daytime and evening hours are available for outpatient imaging services. For most procedures, you can register within the imaging department using Hospital Entrance D. Parking is conveniently located near this entrance.

The Breast Health and Women's Center at BJSPH offers a comfortable and private setting for women receiving digital mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, bone density testing or ultrasound services. Self-referrals are accepted for screening mammograms as long as the patient has a physician to receive the report, and walk-in patients are accepted for screening mammograms. Patients can go directly to the Breast Health and Women's Center for their appointments. Upon arrival, female staff members greet patients and assist with paperwork. To ensure patient comfort, all mammogram and ultrasound technicians in the center are female. We are a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence as awarded by the American College of Radiology and fully accredited by the Food and Drug Administration. Results are interpreted by board-certified radiologists from the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine. This makes a difference in the quality of your mammogram.
