Clinical areas of interest: I am not sure yet. I look forward to exploring the many aspects of radiology.
Research areas of interest: Basic and translational research on the pathogenesis and potential treatment options for neuromuscular diseases, such as myofibrillar myopathy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Describe a teachable med school moment: When life was particularly busy or stressful, I learned to incorporate my favorite things into my study routine. For example, I discovered how refreshing it was to study outdoors.
Why did you choose MIR: I am consistently impressed by the expertise of the faculty, their passion for teaching, and by the collegial and supportive environment at MIR.
What is your favorite radiology sign: Crazy paving
What are your personal interests: (hobbies, sports, hidden talents, etc.)) Drawing and painting, hiking, camping, Studio Ghibli films, and exploring restaurants around St. Louis.
Name your favorite go-to meal: Pad Krapow (a spicy Thai basil chicken dish served over rice with a fried egg)
You’re excited about living in St. Louis because: I love living next to Forest Park! It is my favorite place to both exercise and relax, and I enjoy being able to stroll through the St. Louis Zoo on a whim.
What is something most people don’t know about you: I used to compete in intercollegiate Tae Kwon Do.
