Describe a teachable med school moment: Became pre-syncopal in the OR after not eating or drinking for 14+ hours. Worked out fine after breaking scrub for Cheerios and orange juice - scrubbed back in, placed a chest tube, and finished the case. Lesson: Don't neglect your health - even for a short time!
