Mahati Mokkarala, MD
Diagnostic Radiology Resident
Graduation Year:
2024Hometown: Budd Lake, NJ
I chose MIR because: MIR is a fantastic program that strongly emphasizes resident education and teaching with the residents becoming increasingly more independent and confident in their final reads and diagnosis.
What attracted me to radiology: Diagnostic radiology is this fascinating intersection of clinical medicine, diagnosis and technology. Interventional radiology combines DR with creative, diverse procedures in virtually every organ system.
My personal interests: Reading everything (newspapers, books, etc.), museums, HIIT, pilates
I'm excited about living in St. Louis because: Forest Park with the fantastic free Saint Louis Art Museum
Something most people don’t know about me: I trained in classical piano and sang extensively in high school, was in the All-National and All-State choirs and performed in the New Jersey Performing Arts Center
