Hometown: Airforce brat with the majority of childhood spent in Okinawa, Japan, and Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Why I chose MIR: The infrastructure and personnel at MIR for research are unparalleled regarding cancer pathology, research-grade scanners, non-human primates and people who are collegial, approachable and willing to try new things. I will come out of training clinically excellent and with a strong position to attain early career funding for research.

My interests: Soccer, maintaining my tank-top tan line, gravel/mountain/road biking, backpacking

My go-to meal: Chicken and dumplings

I'm excited about living in St. Louis because: The infrastructure here for biking is phenomenal. The Greenway bike trail system is extensive and links cool areas of town.

Something most people don’t know about me: House plants don't seem to die under my care and I have an aptitude for pickling random items.
