Hometown: Airforce Brat, with the majority of childhood spent on the beautiful island of Okinawa, Japan, and the quite non-tropical Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Describe a teachable med school moment: I'm going to skip this one as medical school feels very far away already

Why I chose MIR: The infrastructure and personnel at MIR for research is unparalleled in regards to cancer pathology, research grade scanners, non-human primates, and people who are collegial, approachable, and willing to try new things. I will come out of training clinically excellent and with a strong position to attain early career funding for research.

My personal interests: Soccer, maintaining my tank-top tan line, gravel/mountain/road biking, backpacking

My favorite go-to meal: Chicken and Dumplings

I'm excited about living in St. Louis because: The infrastructure here for biking is phenomenal. The Greenway system of bike trails are extensive and link cool areas of town.

Something most people don’t know about me: House plants don't seem to die under my care. And I have an aptitude for pickling random items.

Clinical Interest

Interventional oncology, transplant organ rejection

Research Interests

mRNA directed therapy, immuno-engineering for innate and adaptive immune system modulation and imaging
