Job Description

The two-year funded research project involves the development of new carbon-11 and fluorine-18 labeled agents for PET imaging of the biological response to reactive oxygen species (ROS).  We are seeking a PhD in organic/radiochemistry to join an active position emission tomography (PET) imaging group as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will participate in design of research projects and will perform the synthesis of precursors and radiolabeling of potent analogs of target compounds with carbon-11 and fluorine-18 for imaging research studies.  Applicants must have proven proficiency in organic or medicinal chemistry, including multi-step synthesis of small molecules, record-keeping and experimental skills, and problem solving using HPLC, NMR, LC-MS, etcApplicants with no prior radiochemistry experience will be trained in carbon-11 and fluorine-18 radiolabeling.
