Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) performs more than 600,000 inpatient and outpatient radiology and nuclear medicine examinations and procedures each year. Most of these tests and treatments require a referral from your doctor and must be scheduled in advance. Some tests, such as screening mammography, do not require your doctor's authorization, but you must call to schedule an appointment.
Each examination or procedure has special requirements, such as restricted diets or pre-medications, before you come to Mallinckrodt Institute. When you call for an appointment, you will receive information about what you must do to prepare for a specific examination. You will also be given the time for your appointment and the office address.
All new patients must complete a Patient Registration form. Click here for registration information.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be asked to fill out a patient questionnaire that includes your general medical, family, and social history. This questionnaire becomes part of your permanent patient record.
Our staff is here to provide you with top quality, compassionate care. If you have questions about any portion of your visit to Mallinckrodt Institute, please ask one of our staff. They will be happy to assist you.
