Exams & Procedures

More than 2,000 types of radiology and nuclear medicine examinations and procedures are performed at Mallinckrodt Institute.  The list of procedures and examinations shown here is not inclusive. Additional listings will be included as needed.

The examination and procedure descriptions are for general information only and should not be construed as complete. This information should not be used in place of a visit, call, consultation, or advice from your doctor or health care provider.

If you have any questions or concerns about any radiology or nuclear medicine exam or procedure, talk to your doctor.  Or discuss your concerns with the technologist or radiologist when you arrive at the medical center.  We want you to be comfortable with all phases of your radiology experience at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology.

You can also check the Radiology Glossary on this web site for brief explanations of some radiology services.

Or click here to be directed to the Radiology Info web site sponsored by the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America (choose either Diagnostic Radiology or Interventional Radiology on the left side of the page).
