Housed in the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM) is the Siteman Cancer Center, world renowned for its basic science and translational research. Siteman Cancer Center (SCC) is the largest of the CAM building's multidisciplinary clinical centers, occupying more than 107,000 square feet in the lower level and on the seventh floor. There are 300 oncologic specialists, including surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists, on staff to treat all types of cancer. Outpatient services, including physician practice areas, an infusion center, radiation therapy, a clinical research office, and a Cancer Information Center, are available in one convenient location. The outpatient facilities are adjacent to inpatient medical oncology and bone marrow transplant services.
The SCC is the only cancer facility in Missouri (and within a 240-mile radius of St. Louis) to earn the National Cancer Institute prestigious Comprehensive Cancer Center designation and membership in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
