Founded in 1879, St. Louis Children's Hospital (SLCH) is one of two regional pediatric hospitals in St. Louis. The 235-bed teaching hospital provides a full range of healthcare services for children from infancy through adolescence. In surveys conducted by U.S. News & World Report and Child magazine, SLCH is consistently recognized as one of the nation's best pediatric hospitals.

A nationally recognized referral center for pediatric medicine and surgery, St. Louis Children's Hospital is serviced by specialists in all pediatric disciplines and has more than 30 pediatric subspecialties. SLCH is a leading center for pediatric cardiology, has the world's largest pediatric lung transplant programs, is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, and is recognized by the American Burn Association as a pediatric burn center.
