This 111-bed, acute-care hospital opened in 1980 and serves the largely urban counties of St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren, which are within a one-hour drive of St. Louis. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital (BJSPH) offers full, inpatient services as well as 24-hour, physician-staffed pediatric, obstetric, and intensive-care coverage. More than 450 physicians represent 30 medical and surgical specialties.
Mallinckrodt Institute staff at BJSPH provides diagnostic and interventional radiology and nuclear medicine services. The hospital also is home to The Women's Center, the BJC Women's and Infants Health Services Suite, the Pain Management Center, the Cancer Center, and the Sleep Center. Other services, such as cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility, surgery and ambulatory care, and physical medicine, are available.
