  Washington University School of Medicine
St. Louis is an international center for science and medicine. In the vanguard of that scientific exploration is Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM). The School of Medicine is one of the leading medical research, teaching, and patient-care institutions in the nation.

Ranked among the premier medical schools in the world, WUSM boasts one of the nation's finest faculties. Fourteen current faculty members have been elected to the prestigious National Academy of Sciences (including two from Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology), and 26 are members of the Academy's Institute of Medicine,  two of the highest honors accorded scientists in the United States. In addition, 17 Nobel laureates have been associated with the School of Medicine.

The full-time and volunteer WUSM faculty are the physicians and surgeons of Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children's hospitals. Through its affiliation with these hospitals, WUSM is linked to BJC HealthCare.
